MY THOUGHTS:

Livvy Henderson has been cancer free for five years and is enjoying life to the full. She just may have beaten cancer and just might be able to move on with her life. As happy as she is about it, however, she is reluctant to let many people know of her long battle. She is currently engaging in a serious competition and would feel really vindicated if she wins the trophy at hand. However, she is met with a serious accident when she plummets off a cliff and lands on some very sharp rocks.

When Livvy is rescued by fellow competitor Matt Hunter, the attraction between them is instant. Despite the strong pull she feels towards him, Livvy is quite reticent due to her past. Meanwhile, Matt is a single dad of two, and he certainly is not looking for anyone in his life either. Not only is Matt a busy father, he is an accomplished trauma surgeon, so there is no time in his life, even for the beautiful Livvy.

This book develops into a sensitive and very well-done love story. As barriers are broken down between Matt and Livvy, there is also a beautiful relationship blossoming between Livvy and the children. This delightful book worked on all levels and was quite an emotional read. Having not read anything by Caroline Anderson before, this was an wonderful way to be introduced to her excellent writing.

Many thanks to Harlequin and to NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.
