DESCRIPTION:
A cowboy for Christmas…

or another year in the Amish Spinster Club?

Nanny Sarah Kuhns has her hands full with kinder, her overbearing brothers and her big dreams. And it only gets worse when she takes on the care of an injured cowboy. For Amish traveling horseman Toby Christner, tight-knit Harmony Creek represents everything he’s run from. Until he heals, he can’t leave…but will falling for Sarah make him want to stay?

MY THOUGHTS:

Sarah Kuhns is a nanny of four children in the Amish community of Harmony Creek. If the children aren't keeping Sarah immensely busy, she has her two pushy brothers to deal with. What Sarah actually wants to do is to become and EMT. When she meets Toby Christner, who was injured, her attention is definitely diverted. Toby is staying at the home where Sarah works while he is healing. They develop a liking for one another, and it was a delight to see their relationship form.

This very sweet story is the second in this wonderful series by Jo Ann Brown. I enjoyed the strong sense of both faith and family in this read. Quite naturally, the children were a delight. As this story was set during the holidays, it was all the more sweeter.

The element of forgiveness is raised in The Amish Christmas Cowboy, and it was done very well. Forgiveness, when combined with love, is a wonderful gift. I adored this story and have read the first and the third before penning this review. So far I am loving my time in this small Amish community. Jo Ann Brown is indeed a very effective writer.

The other books in the series are The Amish Suitor, The Amish Bachelor's Baby and the upcoming The Amish Widower's Twins.
