Title:   The Wedding Party
Author:  Jasmine Guillory
Series:  The Wedding Date #3
Genre:   Romance
Publisher:   Berkley
Format:  Kindle ARC
No. of Pages:  320
Date of Publication:  July 16, 2019
My Rating:  4 Stars

DESCRIPTION:
The new exhilarating romance from The New York Times bestselling author of The Proposal!

Maddie and Theo have two things in common:

1. Alexa is their best friend
2. They hate each other

After an "oops, we made a mistake" night together, neither one can stop thinking about the other. With Alexa's wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they're comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won't fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn't looking, agreeing they would end it once the wedding is over. When it’s suddenly pushed up and they only have a few months left of secret rendezvouses, they find themselves regretting that the end is near. Two people this different can’t possibly have a connection other than the purely physical, right?

But as with any engagement with a nemesis, there are unspoken rules that must be abided by. First and foremost, don't fall in love.

MY THOUGHTS:

Maddie and Theo share a hot and heavy night together. There are two interesting facts, however. They both have the same best friend, Alexa. And, they hate each other. For their own reasons, they decide to keep that supposition in front of everyone. What both Maddie and Theo want is for their friend Alexa to have the best wedding possible. So, they work together to make that happen.

With a time frame in front of them in the form of Alexa's upcoming wedding, Maddie and Theo agree to keep things secret - and temporary. No feelings allowed, ever. Well, lovers of romance know how that goes.

From enemies to lovers to forever? With the rules they set and the image they each try to portray it hardly seems possible. It was an enjoyable journey while reading this book seeing their relationship progress. The wedding planning in this story was fun as well. What I especially loved was the moment of truth. That part of the book took a quick re-read.

The Wedding Party is the third book in the The Wedding Date series. I hadn't read the previous titles, but had no problem at all becoming invested in this story. I look forward to continuing this series with Royal Holiday, scheduled for release in October.

Many thanks to Berkley and to Edelweiss for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.
