July 2021 Wrap Up

In July, I was able to read 53 books. 10 were audiobooks and the rest were mostly ARC Kindle books with a few library books. This brings me to 333 books read for 2021 so far. I also finished four diamond paintings in July, and, since I use text to speech or audiobooks while diamond painting, I am including them in this post. My stats are included in a screenshot, but my average book length was 328 pages, and I read an average of 561 pages per day.

My favorite reads for this month were The New York Secret and The Lost Girl of Berlin by Ella Carey. I am slowly working my way through Christina Lauren’s backlist, so this month I read and loved Roomies. I finished the Sacramento trilogy by Karen Rose by reading Say Goodbye.  This was an excellent book and a great end to the series. I all but inhaled Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult (11/30/21).  Sajni Patel’s books were great - The Trouble With Hating You and First Love, Take Two ( 9/21/21). I read the last two the Aurora Cycle series, Aurora Burning and Aurora’s End (9/21/21). I am glad that I read the second book in the series just before the third because it ended on a cliffhanger. The series ended with a bang and I can’t wait to read more by them. 

Iris Johansen has a new series and a new protagonist, this time a male, and that book was High Stakes. It was a fast paced, exciting read and it will be out on September 7th. I also really enjoyed Lisa Jewell‘s latest book, The Night She Disappeared. The only book that I didn’t really enjoy this month was Cold Case, True Crime by Denise N. Wheatley.
