I was looking at some blog posts today and this one jumped out at me! I am TOTALLY stealing this idea from Vidya Tiru's blog post.
On July 28, I created a spreadsheet so that I could play catch up on past due reviews. I love Vidya's post, because it seemed so much more manageable. Here is where I stood at the end of July.
I know it is massive - and for those viewing this on their phone, rather unreadable. But, I HAVE been working, so this is what it looks like now.
That is about 50 reviews later, but this means that I have also written a few reviews as I completed the books. I also re-arranged the columns a bit, so that I know which books are not due for review, meaning, NetGalley, widgets, etc. The middle column represents books series titles where I will eventually write as combined series reviews. The reviews on the left are ones that I was really working to catch up on until I got waylaid by a Fibromyalgia Flare, and totally lost my groove. As of this writing, however, I have written nearly two dozen drafts, so I am slowly moving ahead.
Now that I am feeling a bit better, I will continue to work on the first column, as well as to write any reviews for current reading. Once this is done, I will work on the combined series reviews, and finish up on a few of the non-review related books I have read that have left a strong impact on me.
I read book after book, and rarely stop to write a review for a book I have just read. Instead, I do what you see here, I let them pile up. The only reason this is so MASSIVE is because I am a series addict, and have read DOZENS of series-related titles this year.
My recall is very good so I just have to sit down and WRITE!!!
