DESCRIPTION:

All seven sisters are finally home for Christmas, but can the last two find love like the others?

As Endora Simmons plans her Christmas wedding, she's delighted to have her last two sisters, Rae and Bo, finally back in Spanish Fort, Texas. Endora figures if she keeps them busy, they won't have time to think about leaving again. So, Endora talks Rae into teaching Sunday school; as a former police officer, surely Rae can corral the rowdy kids—the most high-spirited being Sheriff Gunner's twin daughters—into making Christmas decorations for the upcoming pageant. Bo helps out by taking over the community Christmas program. She's also been working with Aunt Bernie on her new venture, a monthly speed-dating night at a bar just over the river in Oklahoma—and boy, does she have her eye on that handsome bartender. With all the Christmas preparations in high gear, will Rae and Bo still find time to fall in love?

MY THOUGHTS:

Four of the Simmons sisters have returned to Spanish Fork and are now married. Endora Simmons is currently in the process of planning her wedding, leaving Rae and Bo as the remaining unmarried sisters. Upon their return home, both sisters quickly form romantic connections. Rae, who has a military background and a passion for teaching, readily agrees to take over her sister’s Sunday school for a few weeks. However, she is informed that the class consists of a pair of mischievous twin girls. Growing up with six sisters, including two sets of twins, Rae approaches her new responsibility with minimal apprehension.

Bo’s return to Paradise after a failed musical career leaves her feeling unsettled and uncertain about her future. Despite these challenges, she finds solace in being back home. Bo soon considers the possibility of dating a man that her aunt is adamantly opposed to. Her aunt, an unapologetic matchmaker, disapproves of Maverick, the singer who has captured Bo’s attention. Meanwhile, Rae also encounters a romantic interest in Sheriff Gunner Watson, the father of the precocious twins.

Coming Home to Paradise is the third captivating installment in the Sisters in Paradise series. It is a delightful read, and the first two books were equally enjoyable. I thoroughly appreciate this series and eagerly anticipate the publication of at least one or two more stories.

Many thanks to Forever and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Carolyn Brown was born in Texas and raised in southern Oklahoma. These days she and her husband make their home in Davis, Oklahoma, a small town of less than three thousand people where everyone knows everyone, knows what they are doing and with whom, and read the weekly newspaper to see who got caught.

A plaque hangs on her office wall that says I know the voices are not real but they have such great ideas. That is her motto and muse as she goes through the days with quirky characters in her head, telling their stories, one by one, and loving her job.

She has been married almost half a century to a retired English teacher that she calls Mr. B and he does not read her books before they are published because she cannot afford a divorce. They have three grown children.—and enough grandchildren to keep them busy and young.

When Carolyn is not writing she likes to sit in the back yard and watch the two tom cats protect the yard from all kinds of wicked varmints like crickets, other cats, spiders and blue jays.
