MY THOUGHTS:

It is rare to read a hate to love Amish fiction story, but that vibe comes through while reading this book. But that is what happens for Ada Yoder and Enos Hoover. Their start off on opposite sides when Enos tells Ada that six acres of her land actually belong to him and he’d like to start planting right away. They are literally on opposite sides of the fence. Ada determinedly believes the land is hers and the two almost reach a standoff.

I love these characters. Strong personalities are displayed in this novel, but kindness and compassion come through in this story. As this is an Amish romance, there is a shift between opposing views as their hearts slowly open to one another and love eventually wins out. Forgiveness can sometimes be difficult to come by, but when love comes in the picture, it is really sweet to see things unfold.

I love the interactions between Ada and Enos, even if awkwardness and disagreements began the foundation of their budding relationship. From anger, to disagreements, to compassion, to kindness, to forgiveness, and soon to love. This sixth book in the Amish Quiltmaker’s series was the full Monty. Having not read the previous titles, I am sure that I would have met some of the other characters, most notably Esther Kiem and Cathy Larsen.
