MY THOUGHTS:

Until I came across some breathtaking images of Yosemite National Park in California, I was completely unaware of its immense size. Those images alone set the tone for my reading experience as I delved into this captivating book. Skylar Jansen, a new ranger at the National Park, embarks on a seemingly ordinary hike. Shockingly, she comes upon a chilling sight - a man burying a body. This encounter thrusts Sky into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, as it becomes evident that she is now the next target of this elusive killer. But will the next body he buries be hers?

Sky’s fate takes an unexpected turn when she partners with Special Agent Bode Tucker. Bode, a seasoned investigator, quickly realizes that a serial killer is on the loose, and the danger that Sky faces is far more immediate and personal than she could have ever imagined.

As a single father of a young child, safety is paramount to Body. However, just as Sky is a target, Bode finds himself in grave danger as well. Amidst the escalating suspense, fast-paced action and sweet romance, this book easily weaves in elements of faith. Ambushed in Yosemite emerges as an engaging read, especially as I was able to enjoy it as a audiobook that was wonderfully narrated. It is excellent first book in a new series.

Many thanks to Harlequin Audio and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.
