They race against time, pushing against the clock as another girl is taken. Determined to bring this little girl back home, the detectives exhaust every lead and piece together the clues they are unraveling.
Although each book in this captivating series can stand alone, reading it in order will undoubtedly enhance the reader’s understanding of Amanda and her colleagues. For instance, Amanda’s approach to cases, as well as her personal and professional relationships, evolve with each book in this series. She is undoubtedly an exceptional detective whose compassion and concern for the victims are evident throughout.
The challenging cases in this police procedural series can be difficult to read, and I find myself rooting for and growing to admire Amanda even more as she relentlessly pursues justice for the victims. Carolyn Arnold truly outdid herself with this book, and I eagerly anticipate the next installment in this series.
