SHE HAD NO ENEMIES; ONLY ADORING FANS. AT LEAST, THAT’S WHAT THE HEADLINES READ.

It's always sunny in Detroit for Faith Richards. The popular TV meteorologist, endearingly referred to as "The Fair Weather Friend" by her viewers, has the world by the tail. But one night, Faith leaves work on a dinner break and never returns. Her body is found the next morning.

The town is reeling, suspects emerge, and long-buried secrets are uncovered. While her allies rally, her list of adversaries also grows. Little does anyone know that only the deepest secrets will expose the truth.

In this riveting thriller from the author of THE BUSINESS TRIP, Jessie Garcia's signature multi-POV, rapid-fire style will propel you into the heart of a mystery no one could have forecasted.

MY THOUGHTS:

Weather forecaster Faith Richard, a beloved meteorologist known as “The Fair Weather Friend” for her warm demeanor, suddenly vanished, leaving the entire town in shock. Her disappearance was further compounded by the discovery of her lifeless body the morning after her disappearance. As the investigation unfolds, the town grapples with the mystery of Faith’s fate and the potential secrets that may be unearthed.

As the story unfolds, expertly narrated by Gail Whelan, a shift in perspectives begins to unravel the intricate web of a complicated case. Was Faith the beloved person she was known to be, or were there dark secrets from her past that led to her tragic murder? With a growing list of potential suspects, this gripping thriller by Jesse Garcia offers a solid and captivating reading experience.

Many thanks to MacMillan Audio and to St Martin’s Press and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.
